I remember watching the repeats as a kid, and I thought it was the coolest show on the face of the planet. I was young enough to not realize it was supposed to be campy, and just rolled with whatever was going on and taking it seriously. It’s even better as an adult, as the camp becomes just hilariously outrageous but

The “Pegasus” episode has to be one of the best TNG episodes. It was a pretty good example on how to balance character and sci-fi techno babble so that they both serve the story. That final exchange between Picard and the Admiral... “I know a lot of people in Starfleet.” “You’re going to need them”. Damnnnnn....

Interesting design, I might have to check it out now. Thanks man!

Yeah, I think the big one is TIME, since MMOs by their very nature needs to turn what normally might be a 10min task in an offline single-player game, into something that takes 10 DAYS or even 10 WEEKS. It’s fairly eye-opening to make a list of pros/cons to playing MMOs vs normal games. MMOs will lose out every time.

This is what I did as well when I wanted to level up jobs when I wasn’t on my main. For someone like me who absolutely was burnt out on the Roulettes ever since mid-HW, mainly due to grind and also the inconsistent players I would be matched up with, the daily routine for me that I ended up with was:

I remember when the 1-day shipping thing was introduced. At first, I went “wow!”, but then right away I had this image in my head of overworked employees in a warehouse, and drivers scrambling through traffic. Unless they have some kind of tech that I’m unaware of that makes this easier than it sounds, it didn’t seem

Yeah, me too. I loved the fast-paced chaos.

The nostalgia is depressing me. The good old get-off-my-lawn days of Dark Forces and X-Wing/TIE Fighter games. I mean, there was even the Super Star Wars trilogy series on the SNES, which took some creative liberties, but was still fun as hell.

But then... we wouldn’t have to make another 10 minute run back to the other side of the ship and fight respawning trash mobs to obtain a door key card... God I hate that shit.

I’ve often wondered about this over the years, too. But then I imagine all the limbs and blood flying everywhere and shrug it off, because it would just turn into an Evil Dead game. Players like me at that point would just ignore the rest of the game and just go on speed kill massacre runs. lol

I was so into the 90's Tick animated series. It was a breath of fresh air at the time, but ever since that show ended, and these live action versions showed up, I never really cared for them.

I dunno, maybe Marvel was trying to be polite by not outright cancelling this game early to put it out of its misery. But no way it’ll survive today’s competition. It’s just tarnishing the Marvel brand at this point, unless they do a overhaul before release.

Or maybe the game, by any reasonable currently modern measuring stick, is trash? lol

I’m down with that art style. Let ‘er rip!

Joanna Dark vs Snake smashdowns would be sweet.

Yep.

Oh, the guy has made some Marvel stuff, too. lol

Yeah totally. I tend to expect the art style to look less aggressive and more like this (it’s DC, but you know what I mean) -

Yeah, I don’t quite understand the level of quality seen here, even if it’s mostly cutscenes. Looks about 10-15 years out of date.

Hmm, the voice acting doesn’t sound that great, like it’s going to be as bad as all the other FF’s. Oh well.
