This is why “transparency” is bad. Just keep everyone in the goddamn dark until it releases. Because no matter how many times they can tag something as “work in progress”, someone somewhere will not comprehend what it actually means.

I mean, I dug the film and will likely watch it a ton more times during my lifetime, but I don’t think at any point it ever entered my mind that it was somehow Oscar-worthy. Because most of the time, it’s blatantly obvious when movies are specifically made to chase the Oscar. BP sure ain’t one of them, even though…
People can see how he’s changed on his social media accounts. There is a pre-Disney and post-Disney Gunn. His personality is still there, but clearly he had a revelation when he had to dig deep to make the GotG films. His anti-Trump rants aside, he was not only communicating with fans, offering his personal and…

Florida.
The FFXIV turnaround story is definitely one for the history books as a lesson to learn. I came on for the relaunch at beta 3, so it’s been fascinating playing up to now. It has had its ups and down, but I suppose it’s par for the course. At least it hasn’t been a total trainwreck like pre-ARR.
The show’s name is just too damn good to stop using it anyway.
Oh wait, it’s actually spelled “rouge” and not “rogue”? Wow.
“A new challenger has appeared!”
Weird coincidence. This is what I also used to see with my eyes closed, back in my youth after too many long and questionable gaming nights. No merged AV cables were even needed!
One of the many cool things about GoldenEye the game was how they took the actual set floormaps from the movie’s production team. Anytime I saw the movie afterwards, it added a whole new layer knowing where ignored hallways and doors led to.
Doing a second run through back then with my initial game save late into the night with the living room lights off and headphones on, near the end of the Sniper Wolf death scene after Otacon is breaking down with his “why are we doing this” shtick and Snake stops to say, “If we live through this, I’ll tell you.”…
I went through a couple of the original blue ones. After about a year, on the first set, part of the headband near one of the earcups cracked off. Picked up a replacement. Again, about a year later like yours, the leather started disintegrating.

It’s a shame the Russo Brothers can’t just do every MCU film. lol
Their batting average isn’t 100%, but they hit more than they miss. Which is pretty impressive considering not everyone will like the same films, as evidenced here in the comments.
Well, that and the entire dumb Widow arc in that movie. I thought for sure Scarlett was going to quit after that. It was embarrassing.
The “name your best MCU film” is always funny to see play out. It’s a great example of how tastes can vary.
I’m of two minds about this. On one hand, having low willpower is bad when binging a tv season, and that some sort of reminder to take a break would be cool. On the other hand, they can’t be annoying commercials, or promos for other shows.
Weird to see you mention this aspect because I came to the same revelation maybe about ten years ago too, i.e. the mindsets between people sitting on their asses consuming product versus the people who are actually out there creating and producing.
I thought the initial Brosnan movies had begun a pretty good streak for awhile. GoldenEye had women who could pretty much hold their own while still pushing the sexy. Tomorrow Never Dies had sort of a balance between Michelle Yeoh for the action and Terri Hatcher doing the typical walk-on soon-to-be-killed-by-villain m…
