Yes. Also, it’s interesting that there is a knee-jerk reaction against this labeling. Last I recall, people were all up in arms about companies nickel and diming them all the time. And yes, DLC categorically should be grouped in with this, too.
This is acceptable to me. I hate in-game transactions in any form with a passion, so this will make it easier to avoid purchasing games that support this bullshit. Hopefully, this will be what finally stomps the entire trend.
The super generic plain Arial font that show up in these ports make me feel like vomiting. It’s a deal breaker for me. It’s not like they aren’t capable, either. The font style in the mobile version of FFXV is excellent.
And then coming at it from the other side, the movie asks the question, “Yes, that is the idealistic path, but did that path inadvertently cause some collateral damage along the way?” They achieved a paradise though isolationism, while allowing the world around them to battle it out for themselves, and in some cases…
BP is an interesting case study. I’ve seen the movie a few times myself. On my first viewing, I was not liking some of the vfx and editing. After it was done I had mixed reactions, but there was something about the story, the character arcs, and implications that compelled me to go back and check it out again.
Cool, yay on the replaced fonts. That Arial business that SE uses on their quick buck projects really dulls out the aesthetics. Not to mention it just looks cheap within the context of the game.
PS3 marketing slogan: “It only does everything.”
You can also change your PSN ID by...
Yeah, this was one of the first things I did. It still kind of blows my mind how super easy Sony designed the whole process for users.
You can also have the PS4 download games at maximum speed, by placing the console in Rest mode during the download. Yeah I know that most folks probably already were aware, but for the newbies who might not... Bam, there ya go.
Nah, it’s more like:
One of the scenes that was really affecting, was T’Challa screaming at T’Chaka, something to the effect of, “Why did you leave them there, and not bring them back?! We would not have had a Killmonger! He was one of us!” That moment of empathy and caring for his own people on that level was just nuts for me. I don’t…
Exactly. The next time a CEO issues a press statement, try reading it as if you were a business shareholder, instead of a consumer, expecting a return on investment of some sort. It’s an eye-opener.
One of my bosses had connections to a few popular influencers to push our app. One of them, all she did was just fire off a glowing review to her followers (“just found out about this game! It’s cool! Check it out!” etc). And sure enough her followers (a fairly large crowd one at that) downloaded our app.
Yep. The ends justify the means for these types. On one hand, yeah the numbers help. On the other hand though, how does it affect the morale of the team to think they can’t legit get positive reviews for the work they’ve done? It’s a hell of an empty feeling for folks who actually care about what they produce. False…
I’m not that surprised. It’s a sad practice that a LOT of devs, especially start-ups, tend to do whether it’s Steam, Apple’s App Store, Google Play. etc. To the higher-ups, it’s just another “marketing” method.
The approach I take with all this Rotten Tomatoes nonsense is I’ll maybe note the initial score, go see the movie, and if it matches the score, then fine. If it doesn’t, whether I think the score should have been higher or lower, that’s fine too and maybe note it for future reference if I am ever interested in their…
I totally wish someone would resurrect the Super Star Wars SNES games, and then make new ones for the episodes that were never made during that era of gaming.
