except you will never find it... It’s one of 500 in the long term parking lot he id doomed to keep this thing in. I don’t disagree with the idea, but I would get it with the mismatched panels (hood in silver, doors in black), just so you can find it again after you parked it.

I want to like this, I mean come on - look at that pixar guppy smile on the thing!

I was really hoping no one on Jalopnik would have seen this car today... I was wishing the bidding was kept low.

All I can say back is that no matter how much of a nostalgic fan you are, do not get into the Lancia Stratos then. It is difficult to shoehorn into the passenger seat, so just imagine being in the driver’s seat... with a roll cage installed. Also, the pedals are at an uncomfortable angle for driving as well.

I’m just laughing at the CBC van out front in the photo you chose to use. A Canadian Crown corporation reporting on a US landmark that was just rescued by a automotive multinational seems like a Trump nightmare!

So you’re a fan then?

I feel that this whole BOP and stint limits were a problem (and not just because I really wanted the AMR cars to be better placed through the race). I don’t think the solution is to not have a BOP, but to change how it’s done.

I don’t always agree with Charles’ synopsis, but in this case, I agree with fully. I often feel like the editorial comments are about the films not being inclusive enough... or not embracing the other sexual/race/religious communities, and needing all films to being a sign in a protest march.

Please be called the Corvair.... Just to stick it to Ralph Nader. :)

I don’t know what 8-bit video games had to do with Richard Scarry’s Busy Town, because that is obviously a easter egg to the banana car:

There was a great race with her defending against a rather idiodic Lexus driver (Sage Karam) last year at VIR... She was being blocked and brake tested.... I get it that she lost her cool and rammed him in the end, causing her hood to pop, but normally a very level headed driver.

I hope the mannequin comes with it only because it would be hard to find such a small mannequin to put the suit on. All my short mannequin’s are in use sporting Prince costumes right now.

SyFy clip not available in Canada.... I’ll have to find it on the Space network website instead.

I just think the content is so big that there will always be people who are disappointed.

100 miles of straight road you say? I would go with the SSC Bloodhound. Over 100,000 bhp and the expected top speed of 1050 mph, it should complete this in 10 min. Not to mention, the ability to coast after it reaches top speed for a while... unless lift and coast isn’t an allowed strategy in this race?

My experience is close to the same, except I’ve met them at the drag strip, and they are typically the heaviest guys on a motorbike I’ve ever seen! Scary to watch.

Which fish people? I care about some of their opinions more than others...

Open discussion - anyone else feel like the R30 Skyline was the most unattactive Skyline? Like Ford Foxbody ugly (sorry for all those Fox body fans, but your car was ugly).

I was watching the lap timer on his wheel for most of that (given that it’s a small oval, and once he warmed the tires, the driving isn’t the most exciting). I’m impressed at how consistent he is through a lap. 20.64s to 20.34s was the biggest difference.

I watched this a couple of times, and while I agree that the siren is a distraction to the others going through the feature at the same time, he is one of the front runners, and it’s not like they have blue flags to say to the other drivers get out of the way of the race leader.
