“You’ve Got To Pick A Kidney or Two”?
Same here. I watched this at a young but prime age and became a real cultural reference point. The Taming of the Shrew? Remember that Moonlighting episode? Booger? I know him as Herbert Viola. Mark Harmon and Virginia Madsen? They’re those people from Moonlighting.
Very curious about how this show will land with younger viewers. A lot of the humor involves David basically sexually harassing Maddie. At the time, I found it all very funny in all honesty.
The Abyss is perfect to me. It’s somewhere among my top 3 of Cameron’s.
Jewel’s not untalented, but I wouldn’t call her brilliant. I think I can only name three of her songs, but I really like what Molly Tuttle did with “Million Miles”, a song she apparently wrote.
Wait, we’re calling Jewel “brilliant”? Did I miss a renaissance or a reassessment? Honest question.

Streep doesn’t really use a scarcity approach for her career, and a third movie won’t really dent her career, so why not go…
I suppose two Michael Jackson videos are plenty, but I would have expected Smooth Criminal to make the list, too. I think “the lean” and Jackson’s white suit have become pretty iconic.
But can he twerk?
I own the Criterion of Akira Kurosawa’s Tonight Show Cue Card Guy. Toshiro Mifune’s amazing in the title role.
I think my grandpa was right that my generation couldn’t have taken Iwo Jima.
Hey yoh?
Monster of the Week episodes are significantly more rewatchable especially knowing now (as many already knew or suspected back then) that there was really no predesigned wrap to or destination for the mythology stuff. When you rewatch mythology episodes, you just basically think “these just don’t really matter” even…
