The reviews by critics have been overwhelmingly positive, so it actually makes sense that the Critics Choice Awards are recognizing it, too, regardless of box office performance.

Yup, that first watch of Dog was a tough one, but there was a little less dread on second viewing! I’m curious about how I’ll react to a second viewing of WSS since that excitement is hard to replicate, but I’m very eager to revisit it, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Even from just a technical standpoint, I think

The Power of the Dog is really great and has a ton of depth that you really want to dig through over multiple viewings, and I instantly wanted to watch it all over again once I got to the end. Then I saw West Side Story last night and my reaction similarly was that I wanted to just watch it all over again but for just

Yes, and non-MCU Bruce Banner lived in Berkeley from what I remember.  Maybe Jennifer Connelly can come back.

I think the CGI looked cheap relative to the director’s ambitions. I loved the bus fight, too, which I think benefited from more controlled CGI. You got a great scene showcasing the fight choreography enhanced by CGI.  The final fight, however, was really primarily a CGI spectacle, and if that’s the route you’re

It’s still so rare that movies are set in SF that I hope the sequel lets them spend more time there.  Maybe the main villain can be one of those bongo drum guys in Golden Gate Park or a line-cutter at Tartine.

They survived because they injected bleach into their pretty little asses!

Why not “Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark” or “Escape to Margaritaville” for a real challenge?

I am very excited that the reviews have been positive all around. As expected, Elgort is turning out to be the weakness here, but apparently not enough to badly damage the movie.  I’m now more excited and less wary.  With Spielberg directing and Kaminski handling the camera, this movie is the spectacle I’m now looking

I love Elisabeth Moss, but a good many of her characters are intense people on the edge, so I’d love to see Moss in other roles, like her turn in The One I Love.  I’m glad Snook is instead taking this one on.

That’s really too bad that they may still be able use it (not that they will). I watched their performance at the Thanksgiving Day Parade and while she and Connick sang “I Don’t Need Anything But You” live, her “Tomorrow” was prerecorded and sounded to be autotuned.

Annie: Live! will at least be live, which means it won’t be susceptible to one of the main weaknesses of the 2014 Annie, which is the unwise use of autotune on Wallis’s voice. I imagine that part of the charm of Annie is to hear cute kids sing these iconic songs, that happen to be really tough to sing for adults.  As

Ah, like The Last Temptation of Christ, and the dream will lead him to make the tough but selfless decision! That’s uplifting!

I’m not making plans to watch it, but it’s mildly interesting, more interesting than if the original actors were doing the table read. I was wondering why they chose these actors rather than actors closer to the characters’ ages, but I imagine Aniston, Union, and the others actually watched and grew up with the show,

It’s sacrilege, but I did not like Hildy, Walter, and Hildy and Walter together in His Girl Friday.  Everyone loves this movie, but I was not rooting for that couple.

I’ll watch Miley Cyrus in moderate doses. Great voice. Davidson, on the other hand, seems to be a practical joke on America.

I listened in pain to Kara Swisher’s recent interview with McConaughey, and it was as painful as you’d expect, but then I thought like y’all that no way this guy’s gonna be worse than Abbott.  I’m a little ashamed of that thought, and a little not.

His genius really left me awestruck and moved. Just an incredible talent.

Have you checked if there’s a guy with his arm up his butt?

I think requirements are such that the New Artist doesn’t need to be new (this old man knows Japanese Breakfast has been around for at least 6 -7 years), but should have had a breakthrough during the eligibility window.  These rules are funny.
