I have not seen a single movie role from McKinnon where she has been even decent (except maybe Bombshell where she pointedly didn’t do comedy). It must be an american thing to find her funny...

Hobbs & Shaw IS really dull. The Rock and Jason Statham can both be a lot of fun individually, so you wonder how one could possibly put them together and make something as lifeless as this. The trailer was kind of fun, but nothing else was...

It is a very good movie (top 10 of 2019 so far easily) where everything mostly simmers underneath until we get release in a few marvelous musical scenes. Still think I liked “Girlhood” slightly better. There may be a bit too much simmering here.

I guess Christine Blasey Ford´s story had no holes in it either.

I also generally respect E.T. but can’t quite get the love for it. I am even of the right age (born the same year as Henry Thomas). Maybe you just had to be there as I grew up in rural northern Norway and not in the suburbs of a big US city.

Worldwide at this moment? Yes.

If your contributors have seen so few movies that they consider “Joker” as one of the worst movies of the year I would seriously consider not letting them write about movies. Do you let people who don’t read write about books too?

This mostly seems like a good list (that also shows how sheltered american critics are when it comes to world cinema), but “Moonlight”, while a good film in general, is way too high (the endings of each third are great, but Naomie Harris gives a terrible performance worthy of Pootie Tang, maybe the worst academy

I always pretend she won her supporting actress Oscar for this and not for the execrable “Les Miserables” the same year...

As someone who is one two generations off from subsistency farming in northern Norway I guess I should apologize for my white(ish) privilege. As should these kids:

So what you are saying is that you wanted the police to kill him.

From IMDB (so it must be true):

This is my favorite super hero movie. It is not perfect, but visually nothing comes close. The movie may not quite get the comic (I have read it three or four times and like it too), but I don’t know why I should really care about that when what we get works for me. I have only watched the ultimate cut though.

They will only get beaten by GOOD 15 year old boys teams. 15 year old boys are faster and stronger in general, but organizing 15 year old boys can be like herding cats (I am a teacher, so I know). That is the advantage women’s teams have: they are easier to organize. If you tell a female athlete to do a thing (follow

A comment below made me wonder: What happens when limb replacement tecch becomes so good that a new arm becomes an advantage? I think it will be difficult to prohibit totally, but would the player have to keep the arm strength under a certain threshold so that he doesn’t endanger opponents?

The dutch just look so nervous, especially in the first part of every game I have seen with them the last couple of years. Their top level is among the highest of all the teams, but they so often miss easy passes and give sideway passes when they should go for it themselves that they can be frustrating to watch. They

As she is living under water and is has partly human characteristics, shouldn’t she be really, really pale, almost albino? That way her skin can use the little sun she gets to make vitamin D so that she doesn’t get rickets!
