YES. There often seems to be a big loneliness, detachment component to it. My MIL lives with her mom and has no social life at all. No close friends, and her relationship with her kids is prickly. It’s heartbreaking but it’s her.
I have a friend who used to work as an arson investigator for one of the big insurance companies. I should ask her how to do that without leaving clues.
My MIL lives with her mother in our neighborhood. At one point she owned 3 homes - the one she raised her kids in, her mother’s home (near us) and the house she bought in our neighborhood about 3 years ago. It’s a lovely house. My husband and I and his sister went to see it and all agreed - take a good look now…
Have you talked to your doctor? There are medications that can help with obsessive/compulsive behaviors -- it’s frequently associated with anxiety and there are so many good anxiety meds now. (Me: mom to and daughter/sister of females with anxiety and obsessive/compulsive issues.)
Must be.
Horrible thing in our neighborhood just a couple weeks ago. An elderly couple lived in a house so stuffed that the front door wouldn’t open, windows were obscured, etc. etc. - they’d been there and the house had been like that for years. Well kept on the exterior.
It caught fire. Neighbors ran to help, my next…
OK, I’m legit shocked. Probably shouldn’t be, but I am.
This is gonna be epic and we’ll all be very sick of it before it’s even close to over.
Pratchett was more laugh out loud funny and his character descriptions more cutting or touching, depending on the character.
For her, I think that’s completely candid. We’re not ever gonna see Coco in a t shirt, jeans and no makeup. I bet Ice and Chanel never have.
I totally believe that. I just refuse to buy that she’s not as sweet and guileless and happy as she seems. And I unabashedly love to see pics of her and the baby.
Yep. I feel yah. CATWS is what made me sick to begin with.
There’s eye fucking, and then there’s eye impregnating...
Oh yeah. That’s the man. That mouth...
If he’d been wearing a Lynyrd Skynyrd t shirt and Daisy Dukes, then you would’ve been in East Texas - probably the coast.
Texas. They play it at weddings and they used to play it in country bars back in the 90s, which was the last time i hung out in country bars so I don’t know if they still do.
But weddings, still a thing. And what the fuck, you know? Old people can do it and feel part of it, so, whatever.
Yes. I’ve been working in law firms since the late 80s - panty hose and suit jackets and all that awful shit - and even back then we could wear ponytails. This is a power trip and/or a personal animus against one employee.
There’s nothing about the scarf in the first picture that isn’t neat or well groomed. It’s functionally the same as a headband.
It’s not a bandana. It’s a scarf.
My kid did just that last month, and bought the Tshit. “I left the house to go see Phil and Dan” or something like that.
Are you sure that wasn’t actually Lord Disick?
God help me, but I know what Khourtney (or HTF she spells her name) sees in him. And they do make gorgeous babies.
