True. But scientists use it to make us all (literally) feel better.

Everybody: Jeep, build us the Brute!

How funny. All this time I thought it was Ocon.

Fair ‘nuff. Seems like a rational and data driven opinion.

I don’t know if climate change will “kill” it, but perhaps it will turn into a dirt rally/mixed rally? Which would be different. And perhaps less fun?

“a “beta test” that sometimes crashes and kills people”.

Well, technically, Panasonic designs the batteries and processes, but they are “made” in a giant building that says Tesla on the side near Reno. Panasonic has large teams embedded in that building. And living in the Circus Circus. Anyhow, its a JV and they both have a hand in it.

Don’t forget the most futuristic feature set.... The fast and notchback had both a trunk and a frunk..

I agree that $ is the big hurdle for F1. The reality is that as there are no women racing in F1 (and only a few in the highest levels of any motorsport) younger girls are less inclined to be inspired by role models and pursue the sport. It well accepted that in all sports, young aspiring athletes seek to emulate the

JT_UK, I must have missed it. I guess I need a better res monitor. : )

That was my same thought. Even if the only crash was likely a fatal crash, I’d still wear a HANS to make my mom happy. He had Nomex and a Helmet, so he is not totally un-safety-conscious. Maybe those were for his Mum?

At least carry a higher capacity battery, yes. A redundant drive train is a bit expensive and would lower the adopt-ability. I don’t think it would hit diminishing returns as other posters say as that invalidates the entire lesson of electric cars. It simply extends the range to some level matching the mission.

If I had was running crews doing service calls/local construction and needing trucks, and this has no engine with its thousands of moving parts, costs $39k, I can charge it at my yard at night, and won’t get all dented and scratched next to my business name and phone number, I think I would add a few racks and run

LOL. Yes. Having owned a number of Audis, the degradation of buttons over time just makes it more and more analog and enjoyable. No working stereo? No windows down? No sunroof? No cruise control? It slowly becomes an awesome 60's era car!

I own a Lancia. Audi should be a piece of cake. : )

Available in the US in 25 years. Woot!!!!
