A lot of these people will only dig in deeper as more of this comes out because despite the sophistication of what the Russians did, the average person does not and cannot admit to being wrong or fooled.

i believe that’s even enshrined in some version of the Boy Scout ideals... i remember learning to leave the campsite better than we found it. Perhaps as a result, i also sometimes pick up trash from the street.
That’s a good flight attendant because I hardly EVER see them doing this on flights. I’ve asked a guy sitting across the aisle from me to put plugs in. Guy was late 50s, should know better. He asked, “is it bothering you?” I said, “Yes, yes it’s bothering me.”
I travel >50% for business (Southwest). I used to take extra, new, cheap($5) headphones with me and hand them to people who watched videos on planes w/o headphones.
Over the past year, I had to stop bc it wasn’t every 3rd or 4th flight..... it’s now 4-5 people every goddamn flight.
Agreed. This is probably delicious, but it turns a ten-minute prep and cook into a 45 minute process. More of a weekend cook than a weeknight deal.
She was offered — and accepted — a flight about 9 hours after her original one. She has plenty of time to find a solution. She could have called friends, but she didn’t want to because they would have to drive a few hours. She could have taken a bus, but she didn’t want to because she thought it would take it too…

Regardless of whether you agree with his motivations or his policies, his statement is essentially correct. A balanced budget is something that people on both sides of the aisle should support, especially when the economy is doing so well.
Never have I seen so appropriate a use of an Oatmeal comic for a situation that wasn’t about grammar.
Disturbed?
The article states she is enrolled in a university. One would hope she developed the minimum of critical thinking skills..... or just, you know, regular damn thinking skills.
That’s what kills me. She really thinks describing how terrified her pet was before she killed it is going to make people feel bad for HER.
This is a horrible idea.
The game will become less and less exceptional as athletic talent in a sort of base sense is diverted to other sports, on a youth level, though. If the physical surreality fades, I think the game will be damaged as well.
And the proof that you’re correct is the fact that boxing still exists and that there are full cards on a routine basis. While it doesn’t have nearly the attention it used to command, boxing isn’t even close to going away. So the NFL would have to decline to where boxing is now before we could even have a serious…
There’s a burger joint in Chicago that has one TV above the bar, and they’ll play random movies that the staff likes/has on DVD. One of the posted rules of the bar is “No, we won’t ‘put the game on, bro.’” One of the many reasons I eat there.
