I knew they’d have to get the tall guy - he’s on video (more than once) being very obvious about peering at the poor mark and their license plate. Fucking scum. My first impulse would have been to run him over.

The fucked up thing is that they still make it. It’s sitting on showroom floors. We just can’t have it. It may be FWD and power output is kinda shite, but it’s still a wagon, still a 6MT, and still looks pretty damn good.

I’d even take a hatchback/liftback. Mazda made a liftback for the first gen models that was VERY practical. I almost bought one, but too many red flags at the shady buy-here-pay-here lot where we found it. 

So if ... the people start to buy that kind of vehicle, then that will let us make that vehicle

They could just buy a Tremec. Or even the rather mediocre Getrag Ford uses in the Mustang.

For what it’s worth, my wife’s Mazda 3 turbo is faster and handles better than my 2018 GTI did.

Nope… not believing it. The Camry continues to sell well at a reasonable price point; Lexus, MB, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Cadillac can all seem to find enough justification to have a larger sedan in their line ups. I think the struggle for Mazda is that a new 6 sedan would have to be positioned and priced like a flagship…

They probably won’t. I’m just putting it out into the world that if they build it, I’ll buy it. 

I’m sure they would make it. Sell it in the US? Absolutely not. 

Currently have a ‘24 Carbon Turbo 3 hatchback and let me tell you, the front interior and ride were what sold me. It seems miles ahead of other offerings from base brands. The biggest qualm I have is the transmission. I get that a manual isn’t a high demand option, but using the same 6 speed auto from their SUVs feels…

But will they make a station wagon again? I would gladly trade my Mazda CX-5 for a Mazda6 wagon. My activities call for a wagon or hatchback but I’m willing to forgo some ground clearance.

So if I go and buy a sedan to encourage Mazda to build me a sedan, why would I want to buy their sedan? Because, after all, they forced me to buy a sedan from somebody else.

Yeah, I don’t think “reckless endangerment” is enough for purposely ramming your car into somebody.

If they would sell the wagon version of the 6 in the US, I’d buy it. If they brought the MT version too I’d be one of the first in line. 

How is “assault” not one of the charges?  Or will that be specific just for the driver?

So, you’ve committed insurance fraud, know you were caught absolutely red-handed on a dashcam, know that the footage has gone viral, know that the cops are actually looking for you, are in Ecuador, and actually fucking come back?  New and impressive levels of stupidity.

Thank goodness it became an internet thing and the cops and Queens DA actually pursued it.
