My Pops’s old Datsun B210 had those. But no motor.

They could go freeway speeds (barely). Mine did, although the wander inherent in the steering of these, coupled with the tendency to catch even the slightest crosswind, made freeway travel unpleasant.

hah. makes me want to start putting “patient states...” in my progress notes. you know, like “patient states they quit smoking last month, while reeking of cigarette smoke” and “patient states they have been compliant with their prescription, despite evidence strongly suggesting otherwise”

Looks like something you’d open when parked to let air blow through.

One guy has 3 of them, I have the five Volvos

Fair point. I want to find out firsthand

I love the Cube
I should have mentioned the side window design too you can see in that screenshot how the curved edges of the windows look funny from the inside

Good call
Also is that a Pacer in Europe wtf

Cut to me asking the Taco Bell drive-thru employee to hand me my burritos individually

I’m 6'8" and I drive a Mini Cooper S, which has one of the shortest windshields on the market. Can I see stoplights? No. But I still love it lol

Honorable mention: The Ford Bronco II with what my friend affectionally dubbed, during a forgetful moment, “Big-ass the windows.”

The Model X debuted with a giant windshield that extended from the hood all the way back to the B-pillar, kind of like a receding hairline. Lucid also offers a massive windshield on the Air, and the aforementioned Cybertruck does too. This is a design that I am pretty impartial about.

There are 3 of these on my street and I love the front windows

I’m surprised the Countach windows did not make it. You only got half of the glass to open, and then it only opened half the available height, so unless you are an extremely intelligent and wealthy octopus who was able to get a driver’s license, they were completely useless.

No Pacer?

The 2-door sedan Plymouth Road Runner had these incredibly cheap rear side windows that simply popped open:

Honorable mention to BMW i3.

Smokers probably loved the SVX.

Bit harsh on the Cube’s glass, I think it did increase visibility. If only slightly, there is still daylight coming through were a lot of cars its size don’t have glass.

The wind from the safari windows being open probably isn’t that bad. It’s not like those vans could go freeway speeds.
