Not at all. This is more akin to a locomotive, than any hybrid on the market. The ICE engine does not directly power the wheels in any way.

Exactly. Nothing wrong with developing strictly EVs, but there is no reason to not keep developing hybrid powertrains at the same time.

This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for in a hybrid vehicle.  Electric for the daily commute and no worries about range or sitting around waiting to charge on a road trip.

This is what all of the major truck makers should have been doing instead of looking into EV’s.

Sadly, their implementation immediately moves the bar to the top as soon as you tap on it, which is really annoying and almost completely defeats the purpose since the bar is out of easy reach again.

Tesla stans are really something else. It’s hilarious because the button layout is indeed minimalist. “Minimalist” doesn’t mean “de-contented.” It’s nice to see some actual design applied to a Tesla interior, modest as it is.
