Eh, it’s a fine system for some use cases. Ultra-capable offroad vehicle isn’t one of those use cases, which is why Ford shouldn’t be attempting to sell a tarted up Escape as an ultra-capable offroad vehicle. They have the real Bronco for that work.

It’s not as fugly as the past few generations. But it’s still no looker. And I suppose there will be no hatch version, because heaven forbid it steal a sale from those oh-so-profitable much more expensive CUVs.

My wife just bought an Insight. We looked closely at the Civic sedan and the Insight is just better in every aspect other than driving dynamics, which wasn’t enough to overcome the other differences in her mind.

I may be alone in this, but I really don’t like the lack of integration with the hood and the body lines. Those gaps stand out and look really ugly.

I drive a 23 year old Volvo s70. And I was at a stoplight the other day... I looked around me and cars were towering over me from every damn direction. I felt like I was in a 1 room cottage amongst a bunch of high rises.

The nose/forehead thing above the grille looks a bit strange, at least in white. I can see why the last gen and current Accord color that part black or chrome. The way the hood panel just floats above the body, disconnected from every other styling element, is a bit strange. The taillights look like crap. I realize…

Never would I thought I’d see the day when Honda takes a page from GM design...that window behind the rear passenger window is pure Cadillac CT5.

And the current Civic is bigger than Accords from 15 years ago.
