I’m with What-a-witty-name on this. If you are going to call yourself a premium brand, you don’t put a CVT as your automatic in your entry level car. This is why Acura still cannot get much respect - they continue to make stupid decisions and can’t figure out why people and the media bag on them all the time.

Not to

When looking at the one shot of the engine, that’s what I thought, too.

Their packages are getting more confusing instead of less lately. It’s insane.

It’s a newer platform underpinning the CX-50. The CX-5 rides on their older platform with independent rear suspension that was used on the 3, CX-5, and Mazda 6.

I can’t imagine a single team is showing their real car, and that the first two tests won’t be fully representative of what they bring to the first race, as they are going to change a lot from the data they gain from those tests.

Yep, and Red Bull showed the RB18 yesterday.

I’m curious to see the rest of the reveals now. The Haas was super meh, the RB18 has some interesting barge boards, but this is definitely a different approach than Red Bull and Haas (mostly in the side pods - the barge boards look similar, but not exactly like the RB18).

And like all NRA sanctioned conceal carry classes, an answer key is provided with the test or you go over the answers in the class before turning the test in. There’s a reason they have a 100% pass rate across the board.

They are changing the gunsmith XP to be gained from doing daily quests (think like Zavala now). Are they also adding in XP from breaking down items? I hadn’t heard that, if so.

If Mazda is using Toyota’s hybrid tech, they could use the electric motor to compensate for the lack of low end torque in the rotary, and with having three rotors, it should have a fairly high horsepower rating. *If* they can get the cooling down, this could be reasonably reliable for a rotary car that is fun to drive.

Ford lumps ALL F series pickups together to make that claim, and does not break them out...for reasons.

I still use Waze over Apple Maps because Apple can’t be bothered to correct the speed limit in their app for a section of road that is 55 mph, and not 35 mph as they list in the app. I have reported it with photos, as have several other people that live nearby and to this day it still registers as 35 mph. This

Can’t speak for the 2018 Mazda 6, but my 19 Mazda 3 and 21 CX-5 both have/had the remote start feature and never once have I had it fail on me (Now it will fail on me since I said that).

The Focus (US version) was made in Mexico, so it makes sense to have the spelling on there (I’d argue it needs to be on there if it were made in the US, too).

I was able to get a Series X last year - like the PS5, the SSD is a huge benefit to the new generation of consoles. I spend far less time sitting on the couch waiting on games to load, meaning the limited time I do get to play games is better utilized. That, to me, is the biggest benefit of the PS5 and Series S/X.

Someone probably found it on their car and thought it would be funny to put it on your Aurora as a joke to whomever put it on theirs (not knocking the Aurora - they were cool cars).

Honestly Mazda’s automatics are reliable, but slow shifting, so anything in their lineup that you can currently get a manual in will be much better IMHO.

I’m curious about that too - did they reduce the weight to offset other additions, or is the overall weight lower with the new features?

If he’s telling the truth about the insurance screw up, paying an attorney to send a nicely worded letter would not be terribly expensive and most likely achieve the results he needs/wants.

I’m hopeful it still happens, but who really knows now. With the cancellation of the Mazda 6, and the CX-70 & CX-90 coming out on a RWD based platform next year, it could still be in the works.

I’m the exact opposite. Toyotas are incredibly bland and boring, for the most part, and their reliability (at least according to CR), is tied with Mazda these days.
