Coupe Utes. I want something that’s easy to park for a daily driver and can carry furniture when I want it to. I’d be fine with some of the nice small pickups other countries get, too.

I’ve got an elderly Pontiac Vibe. When the airbag recall was first announced, I called the nearest GM dealership about getting it done. They said there wasn’t anything they could do about it yet. So I gave it some time. I periodically checked in, trying to get it processed, and kept getting similar responses.

I’ll probably be getting one of these things when they’re available; I reserved one day one. It’s not exactly what I want, but exactly what I want isn’t going to exist in the foreseeable future, in all likelihood, and this is fine as a compromise car. And I need something that 1) isn’t 17 years old and 2) my wife can…
People hate on the BMW grilles (with good reason; they’re hideous), but the Lexus grilles lately seem even worse, like a cowcatcher reaching towards the infinite.
My favorite local burger place does a brunch burger (they even call it that) that costs about the same and I strongly suspect is superior in every way. It’s what I usually order.
Yeah, those are by far the best breakfast thing they have on there. If they stop making those, Panera will just be completely off the list of options for breakfast for me.
Whatever law or rule or whatever makes it beneficial to bury a finished series (and I’m not necessarily talking about Nemo, here, so much as things like Prodigy and Willow) really needs to be changed ASAP.
I think the map part of the story is done (or at least not especially meaningful) after episode 2. All of the principals know where the map leads to by then. There’s still the actually getting there part, but that looks like it’s being dealt with.
The old US 71 between Fayetteville and Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They put in a tunnel and interstate spur in 20-25 years ago that made it much quicker and much safer, but prior to that, driving up it was incredibly scary, especially if you were sharing the road with a semi. It was all tightly twisting mountain roads.
How many of these have to fail before Sony recognizes that it’s a lost cause? Morbius was a stretch, but at least he had a solo book. Kraven never even had a one-shot until after the movie was announced. Madame Web hasn’t even had that. If Morbius is going to crash and burn that badly, what hope do the even more…
Yeah, it got my hopes up that we’d finally get an EV pony car, or at least something fun, instead of yet another one of those things.
That’s basically the list of cars I’d love to do an EV conversion on. Great styling, nothing mechanically worth preserving.
Something I wonder if we’re going to see - while Luke’s “Weaponization” may have left him unsuited to rebuilding the Jedi order, we may have had a group of survivors working independently to do the same thing much more quietly. I could easily see Ahsoka and some of the other remaining Jedi or former Jedi rebuilding…
Every experience I’ve had with a Toyota dealership has given me the impression that they genuinely don’t care if they get my business or not and that they’re going to charge as much as they can get away with over MSRP. It’s really turned me off of buying them. Now that I’m mainly looking at EVs, they’re not even kind…
I suspect Barbie is going to be lightning in a bottle; I have trouble imagining Mattel’s B- and C-list properties doing anywhere near as well. You’d think this would have reinvigorated Masters of the Universe or Hot Wheels; those were both more popular and a little easier to imagine a direction for a movie to go in…
I’d really like this, but the space issue is what kills me on this. I’ve just got nowhere to put it. Rebels, when taken as a whole, is a strong contender for my favorite post-OT content, and the Ghost is so central to it. But I’ve got nowhere to put it.
If I knew then what I know now, I probably would have gotten one a year ago when they were still eligible for the tax refund.
So slightly below average for a yacht?
One very subtle connection in this episode - they made a point of giving Pelia a scene together with Boimler. One of Carol Kane’s first film roles was in The Last Detail, where most of her scenes was with Jack Quaid’s uncle Randy. I can’t tell if they did that consciously or not.
