I don’t think the comments ever actually ported.

I did the merge, going by the instructions, and instead of merging my disqus account with my kinja account it erased my existing kinja account and replaced it with a new kinja account. The wiped account is the same one I talked to you on last week.

As an also long-term Kinja user, albeit one whose account got wiped out by this process, I can assure you that it’s at least as bad as everyone fears, probably worse.

I liked io9, though. That’s the one I really cared about.

Well this process already ate my existing Kinja account, wiping out all the ungreying I already had, so it’s definitely not making the list.

As near as I can tell, the process wiped out my old Kinja account, even though I clicked on the merge accounts thing. Which means I am no longer out of the grays on any of the other sites. Which means this process has pissed me off even more than I thought it would.
