The first is the book you noted: A World Undone by GJ Meyer, and second is the podcast mini-series Blueprint for Armageddon by Dan Carlin. If you like history, do yourself a huge favor and listen to Carlin’s Hardcore History ‘cast.

There isn’t many if any adapters for most vehicles that were made after stereo units stopped conforming to the old standard format. For most it is the case that they need to replace the whole head unit, and even then that usually isn’t possible as they don’t manufacture new head units for old vehicles and DAB isn’t…
