Not saying you’re entirely wrong, there’s definitely a hard core group who will fight against any gun regulation, and would apply that in this case as well. And Republicans over the past several years have really done a terrible job at.... well, everything.

So is saying “take away all the guns” (OP) and “so you’re ok with half the murders” (your straw man argument).

Far left insists on taking away all guns except maybe a few deemed okay for hunting. Far right says “See, that’s their real agenda, so we fight all gun regulations”. Huge money gets dumped into blocking common sense regulations. Nothing improves, gun violence continues. Repeat for decades.

Hey, I already sent my $126 for the Pulitzer I won for pointing out that someone was wrong on Twitter! I’m sorry but you are going to have to decline Mr. Torchinsky's award, it’s mine!

So, everyone who doesn’t agree with your black & white view of the world is an “asshole”, huh? You are the half the problem with this country.

Definitely not safe to fire into the air under any circumstances. But a bullet fired straight up (which was more or less the case in the video) will only accelerate to terminal velocity as it tumbles back to the ground. I wouldn’t want to be hit by one, any more than I’d want to be hit by a moderate sized hailstone,

I had a 200 rental several years ago -same deal with the ultra-grabby brakes. It was an unremarkable car otherwise, but managing those brakes is the one thing I recall clearly about it.

Reading the excerpt, you can hear Disney telling the author to only summarize the action of the movies, but not add any new plot. Which is why it keeps mentioning offscreen events being “lost to time”, but throwing in trivial details that no historian could have known ("unca wanwo").

Not all areas have those remote systems installed, or at least not in the same numbers. I was surprised when I moved between states how many busy intersections don’t have them.

Yep - boxy and utilitarian is attractive in its own way, even if the vehicle is fundamentally boring. Same goes for old Mercedes and Volvos. It’s when they try to aggro/sport up a boring vehicle that they just come across looking goofy.

“Anyone who doesn’t agree with me is an idiot, full stop”

Good theory. But does it explain interstate bus drivers?

Nice choice. But be sure to keep the plates off... not all electronic tracking comes from within the car.

I seriously had to scroll up to see if this was posted under another site. Nope... a Jalop commentator just made the argument that an M series sports car should be governed to something close to one country’s speed limit.  My 40 year old motorcycle can go 2x the regional speed limit - why do I need that?  Should it be

Don’t feel too left out... we still have the bill to look forward to

Unwanted kissing, as depicted in the cartoons, is probably sexual assault. But it is not rape. See https://www.justice.gov/archives/opa/blog/updated-definition-rape

While I agree with most of the anti-Pepe sentiments, I have to disagree with the extreme “tries and fails to rape someone” characterization.  He strongly wooed a cat whom he thought was a skunk, in an exaggeration of a stereotypical French horndog.  Socially defensible?  No.  Rape?  Also no.

ROFL. Well, if that’s how you try to convince people to see things your way, I see why you want your unions. I’ve done just fine on the strengths of my own intelligence and skills. “Idiot and tool”, huh? Pot calling the kettle black there, champ.

“Literally everyone”? That’s a really black and white argument. Nice job not convincing me.

Asking out of genuine curiosity, but why should I, a tech / software professional, put a body of people between me and my negotiations with an employer / potential employer? If I have the skills and experience to qualify me for a new position, why would I want to have to get in line behind the other union members who
