For a moment I was like, “wow, is she already directing?”  Nope.

Lovingly hand-hewn from the Pennsylvania hills using time-honored techniques and Amish-built axes

Alas, hand-mined coal is hard to come by. Mechanized mining has ruined coal as a Luddite gift for nigh on a century now.

Boy, that lady must have been pissed when she finally got around to seeing Rocky Horror

Unless Thrawn had a way to communicate from “out there”. His people came from “out there”, after all.

I’m sure he has some notes, but not the whole story. He was inspired to give her a Gandalf-like white cloak, but is it necessary that he knew the exact circumstances of why she had it? I suspect that, after he wrote the epilogue, he spent the next few years between other work mulling over the possibilities.

Also, people seem to think that writing is a matter of a story popping into your head fully formed: <POOF> “Ah, so that’s what happens - better go write it down before I forget”. The details don’t come out until after the writing starts. And he wasn’t spending the effort to write Ahsoka’s stories when he had deadlines

He stores it, like manna, for when it is most needed.

There are several fan edits of the Hobbit trilogy available, a few of which are supposed to be decent. Some focus on following the book as closely as possible, others just try to reduce the excess. Topher Grace reportedly edited a two hour version to screen for his friends, but it was never released.

Heh - I guess Pops never taught her the golden rule: “Don’t break two laws at once”.

See the prior post about corruption. Government officials knew, yet did nothing. That may not be malice, but it’s about as bad.

“...though I do lament the disappearance of that weird triangular rear fog light”

For me, it seems to work maybe 10% of the time. Just enough to taunt me into trying to post another image, only to yank it away like Charlie Brown’s football.

The Kinja is strong in this one....

Me: “Kinja, please embed the Captain America ‘I understood that reference’ gif”

There’re very clearly striking a balance between old-school “adventure of the week” serial TV (and even older serial movies), and the modern long-form stories we get today. I think the “side quests” keeps it true to Star Wars’ pulp roots, while allowing the show to have fun with different settings and characters (and
