I didn’t know or care enough about football to know why, as a Black person, I was supposed to hate the Patriots. Now I do.

Hell, I don’t watch football and I hate the Patriots.

They are literally the representation of colonization and gentrification in the northeastern United States. The team name is LITERALLY a nickname for a region that essentially means New Colonizers/Brutalizers.

As I was reading all of those highly irrelevant tangents I found myself thinking “how did we get here? The premise of this article is how this poor dude winds up inexplicably inside of a Target store and purchases things he hadn’t intended to...oh.” Well played.

This story was a roller coaster and it did not disappoint.

It was so easy to not watch the NFL this season. When an organization makes it clear that they have no concern whatsoever for our collective lives, not supporting it or being interested in it becomes pretty easy.

Between this paragraph: “On the same side of the street as this new construction are several eateries. That fact isn’t vital to the story, I just like the word eateries. It reminds me of “groceries” which reminds me of “Post to Be,”Omarion’s hit song where Jhene Aiko managed to weave “eat the booty like groceries”

Here for all talk about The Wire. I’ve watched it too many times to count and will continue to do so.

So, did he uncle status at Fences officially? When he told his son that he didn’t have to like him...said every black man to the younger males at least once?

APPROACHING PEAK MAGNIFICOSITY

Listen, I know this article is about my boy Denzel, but can we discuss Viola’s Angela Davis-level Afro? Because OH MY GOD IT’S MAGNIFICENT

Lol, I see. I thought you were teaching me a new term to describe those patchy, old-ass bathrobes people wear.

Spring rolls?!!

In other words, white women ain’t shit and don’t ever trust them. I will continue to preach this truth because as you stated people keep presuming their innocence again and again. They’re the mothers of white supremacy. They are a part of creating it and reinforcing it. They’ve been the bad guys all along. And now

Bruh/sis, it’s been almost a year. How long does someone have to make sure that you avoid spoilers? Maybe don’t read an article that clearly shows a character from the movie if you don’t want to be spoiled eleven months later.

Just FYI, Armitage was the name of the protagonist in The Dunwich Horror, by the notoriously racist HP Lovecraft, in which the family scion turns into a monster and terrorizes the village. It’s one of the only Lovecraft stories in which the hero actually defeats the monster.

Well done. I see echoes of Allison Williams’ anecdote everywhere. The latest example is the results of the Alabama Senate race — white women on Jezebel were tripping over themselves to distance themselves from the fact that 63% of white women voted for the racist pedophile (Um, it wasn’t college-educated women! It’s

Thank you for this post. I am constantly agonizing over the benefit of the doubt that white people receive in every instance, whether they are committing state sanctioned murder while wearing police uniforms, running our entire nation into the ground or posting pictures of that time they volunteered with orphans in

Thank you for this.

Thank you. You see it in the tone deaf “Me Too” movement. A movement that was started by a black woman that was all too happy to push her aside so that Rose McGowan, an afterthought in the pubic eye for years, Megyn Kelly (Ugh) and Taylor Swift could be thrust into the limelight as the faces of this movement. You see
