You do realize that many video games are aimed at kids, not adults. $60 to a kid is a lot of money. Hell, $60 to most college students is a lot of money.

I need to get this guy for my Encino Man remake.

Wow! The animation is really, really terrible. Looks like a cinematic from a ps2 game.

$40/month is ridiculous when PS Plus is $60/year and I have trouble keeping up with all the games they give me. $9.99/month or $99/year would be a perfect price point imo

Really? No Metal Gear Solid 4? That should definitely be on here over Ico/Shadow. I really don't think HD remasters of PS2 games should be on the list.

Saying Xbox One is just as long as saying 360. Three Syllables.

Can anyone tell me why WB Games Montreal is developing and not Rocksteady?

If your have friends or family who won't sit down to play any video game out of the millions ever made, they won't sit down to watch this movie.

Really unfortunate because 1313 looked epic.

This is all speculation right now. In the end, you don't know what they can do with those specs and I'd wager it's a lot more than you're giving them credit for. The games being made for it are going to use the hardware to its fullest advantages.

But who's to say those specs can't run a 4K game? If the PS3 can run what it runs in 1080p, there's no reason why the PS4 wouldn't be running games in 4K.

I think the PS4 looks fantastic spec wise, but like I said, a console is a unified, standardized system. My PS4 will run exactly the same as your PS4. There is no variance between each unit, so developers can push that specific hardware set to its maximum. This isn't the case with a PC. There's so much variance that

Sony has an R&D department worth hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars. If they thought it would need more, they would've given it more.

Yes, they are stripped down gaming machines. However, a console is a standardized piece of equipment. When a developer makes a game for the PS3, they have a set of components that they can utilize and optimize. Every PS3 has the same amount of ram, the same CPU, the same GPU. It has the same drivers for every

It will be for this generation. They only need to give it enough RAM for one console generation. 8GB will probably look silly by the end of the PS4's lifespan in 10 years, but by then, consoles will most likely just be boxes to stream games.

This is more than good enough for the next few years, not to mention the fact that streaming games is going to get better and faster. I think the generation of consoles after the ps4 are going to be nothing but streaming boxes, kinda like a Roku for video games.

I wish the debate would die out too. It's almost exactly like the Mac vs. PC thing. A Mac, in a lot of ways, is like a console: the software it uses is built to run on it specifically.

This is all true, I'm still just saying 8GB is enough.

For those comparing it to PC specs, you have no idea what you're talking about. This will play games that are specifically made and optimized for this particular set of components and the best developers will push it to its limits.

To all the haters wondering why Kotaku posted this: It's hot, blond twin sisters playing the harp. Do you really need an excuse for that?
