If you can’t down a big gulp and hot dog whilst handling a stick shift, you shouldn’t be driving.

I grew up pretty poor and I always thought the middle-class kids were rich, until I found out what actual wealth was. It stands to reason that there are stupid middle-class kids that think they’re rich and grow up to be guys like this.

There can’t be 2 highlanders! That’s not how this works! There can be only one!

NOW we need an etymologist.

I’m surprised GM hasn’t bothered giving us a new Express since the basic design has been around since the Clinton Administration.

They probably just didn’t burp/bleed the system right.

I would really like to see more automakers go back to encouraging made-to-order sales.

Naw, I got a cheap SC2 a few years ago. It was nowhere near this nice. This was a 3k car, even then. If you ask me, this is listed on the cheap.

I get tired of interior griping. This car is fairly typical of its time. Are today’s interiors really that much better? They’re still plastic, but now tarted up to look like metal or worse “piano black” or leather. I for one miss actual fabric seats, vs. the scratchy woven plastic canvas offered today if the car

Correct. If you are own this car and are going out with a group, no one is volunteering you to be the driver. This is basically a 2 seater with a mini-door to access storage easier than using the pass-through to the trunk. Perfect for chucking a backpack/laptop bag/case of beer right behind you instead of walking

I hear griping about the quality of the interior materials, but I look at the pix and see a 20-year-old interior that looks no worse now than it did on Day One. So scratch that particular demerit, it’s invalid.

$3000 for a running, manual transmission car with a kinda neat third door and a well kept interior?

The whole global supply chain is going to remain good and fucked for quite some time, probably years.

I’m a big fan of starting early. I’ve taught several kids using the hack 70 series flatbed we use for fencing and feed runs. They get to learn to use a clutch and yes its a bit rough and clunky but they don’t care.

I love everything about this! Bus conversion is a whole set of awesome I don’t think I have the effort for, will stick with a proper class C or A RV when I do get one though.

Yep, you very much could - pickup prices are nuts right now.

Is Elizabeth your ex or something? Your posts on this one seem alarmingly mean-spirited.

Easy nice price, according to the listing and pics no significant mechanical or cosmetic issues, reasonable miles, any car that meets this description pretty much starts at $3500 or more these days. Add a turbo and a five speed, plus a decent amount of interior room, this thing is a screaming good deal (unless you are

3500 before labor.

As a very seasoned mechanic, and shop owner, I’m calling bullshit. Well, mostly, because I don’t know what the other smaller items consist of, and how many of them there are.

I can tell you this - if I had a customer pull into my shop with a ‘96 Suburban and I gave them a 3500 estimate BEFORE LABOR
