She does not have much empathy to start with. Her 6 y.o. sister has all the empathy. The 4 y.o. and 8 y.0. have none. 

I’m having such a hard time explaining this to my 8 year old. She so desperately wants to prank everyone, but ends up just being mean or hurtful instead.
