I got to rent one of these a couple weeks ago for my birthday (Thanks to my wonderful wife) and the stereo was actually the one thing I was disappointed with. It definitely seemed to be lacking in the low end department.

What’s the clutch like? I’m learning to drive stick now on a beater I got off Craigslist, in anticipation of getting the STI. So for someone who’s going to still be fairly green, what’s it like to drive?

I’m in a similar boat. Looking to replace my car early next year and I’ve got my heart set on the STI. I’ve heard in a number of places that it comes stock with Summer tires so I was assuming I was going to have to fork out more money for a winter set. (Minnesota)

I was at my local cars and coffee over the weekend and there was a good size contingent of AMX’s. My wife and I spent a good bit of time checking them out and talking about them specifically because you don’t see them all that often, and we both new very little about them.

I would highly recommend the Kingkiller Chronicles books by Patrick Rothfuss. (The Name of the Wind, A Wise Man's Fear, TBD) I listened to both on audio book and they were excellent.
