They did recover some old Glen Mhor Scotch from underneath the expedition hut. They weren't sold though, they've been kept and preserved as historical artifacts. A few bottles were loaned to Whyte & Mckay where they were analyzed in order to create a replica version of the Scotch. They sold that, part of the proceeds

Monaco is currently listed for $2.99. Not $6

Hands down. I have an original Model M at home, and a Unicomp version at work. Both outstanding keyboards. I'll never use anything else. Especially not those squishy monstrosities that come standard with most computers these days.

Cheers to that! My bottle of the 2008 is the crown jewel in my current collection.

That's right, you keep to your single malts, that just leaves more for the rest of us.

I'm so happy I read this! I watched the video and thought, that looks like a lot of fun, then saw no PC logo at the end and was very disappointed. Crisis averted!

Top Gun

You're not alone. I much prefer the new look.

Didn't notice it till I read this comment. I love the feature though every time I've seen it.

Now playing

I always loved that about California where I grew up. Now I live in Minnesota where you can't buy booze on a Sunday! wtf?

I was reading this thread specifically to see if anyone had mentioned this book. Fascinating stuff. The author covers a lot of that kind of stuff. How long things would last without humans to keep it running. Short answer: not long.

Completely disagree. Snacktaku is awesome. Keep up the good work Fahey!

That vision of the future was a pretty accurate carryover from the book.
