Momoa chewed the scenery in the movie so much that he upstaged everyone, especially Vin Diesel. Critics were not exaggerating about how entertaining he was in the movie. Be interesting how that gets handled in the sequel. I suspect the character will suddenly show up a whole lot less or be toned down.

Seems a pattern has emerged with Vin Diesel. The Rock wanted to go his own way cause of Vin’s ego (and likely his own). The the director got sick of his shit and quit. Now we have a story that seems custom made (well more so then ever before) to appease his ego.

This - “if she really is as popular as you think she is, Kamala will return in one contrived way or another.”

This. I have read all the Ms. Marvel stories from day 1. I highly recommend all of them. Her sales have long been bad. Its that simple. Not going to keep doing solo books but the sales don’t support them. They even tried to form a team around her (Champions) and that didn’t help either.

She is a female minority. The month is just an excuse. Not happening in her own series is just an excuse. Her character only be around 10 years is just an excuse. People need to have the strength of their convictions to be upfront and say what they really mean - only straight white guys are allowed to be killed in

Side note - for a “popular” character, they have had to relaunch her title about half a dozen times because the sales simply were not there to maintain an ongoing long enough. Marvel has tried to make her solo comics successful and it has not worked.

Ding ding ding! Congrats to Gizmodo for being the first to point out the characters minority status (in America) and female should have made killing her off (even temporarily) a non-starter and even going so far as to explicitly call its sexist and racist.

I don’t like the “Fight” portion was effectively “attempt to capture”. It should be Run. Hide. Fight & Kill

This really isn’t the type of story that Ted Lasso is designed for. Better to not have started it, no matter how welling meaning. If going to do it, it is a shame that its missed a chance to demonstrate the ugly side of sports.

<pats dirtside's head> Oh look at you doing the “I’m rubber, you’re glue; whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you”. Its precious.

Never could follow Amourouth. Just too fake. Like literally all aspects of her. The hair is fake (dye job), the boobs are fake, the butt is probably fake. Way she communicated and acted on stream was, well fake probably isn’t the word, but personally I got bored after about five minutes. Even her “porn” is fake (its

You all know darn well that sentence is implying. Its not of the garbage you decided to read it into. Its the go sweep around your own door metaphor. Trying to push the western version of marriage is bit hilarious when its been proven to be consistently not great for many.

Yeah producers know what they can and cannot do. They just whining hoping for sympathy. Its really simple, they can either use the script as is, or not. If they go with “or not”, they are stuck with the consequences of moving forward.

Estranged from my aunts and uncles too so get it. In my case its because of their far right beliefs. Which I can happily ignore when we get together.

If it was my choice, Roy Wood Jr is the go too choice. Secondary choice is Jordan Klepper becomes he has the political knowledge and good at the outrage like Jon Stewart was. I would not have even bothered with all this guest hosting nonsense. But I really think Comedy Central execs are eying that history prize and

What the hell are you reading into the analysis. Its about as bland and unemotional as can get. You are inserting your weirdness into it. Its literally going “based on these conditions, X will not host.” Because it involves sex and race, yes that makes it little more difficult to discuss, well because of people like

Its a straight forward analysis of what drives casting decisions in Hollywood. Its really that simple. Whatever baggage you are attempting to read into is on you.

Not exactly countering my logic. I get you like to virtue signal for whatever reason but not even saying anything controversial. Just laid out why the current correspondents stand no chance at the job which comes down to what many have complained about for ages - too many white guys hosting late night.

Yep pretty much this. Large fries are now one of the most expensive items on the menu. McDonald’s in my area has gone up around 25% to 50% on price (depending on item) and went from cheap eats to a price that is now close enough to other higher quality fast food around me that I most as well go for bigger bang for the

That was then. Practically a previous age. Now? A white male chosen as late night host is an impossibility (so Michael Kosta, Lewis Black, and Jordan Klepper are out). It might as well be illegal with jail time for network execs, that is basically how firm the unspoken rule is. In this case the long history of white
