VW GTI/GLI and get snows for winter.. put a stage 1 flash and call it a day. I even left mine low year round and never once got stuck

Just posted the same thing. AWD is not needed with a good set of winters. Drove this car for 4 years in Northern Alberta with zero issues whatsoever. 2 of those years were lowered. The weight over the nose (60/40 if I recall correctly) lets the tires dig and the brakes stop you nicely.

Used Mazdaspeed3. Bought mine for $15k last year with about 50k on the clock. Ticks all the boxes except for the AWD.
