I have friends in food service and they would lose money if they got paid minimum wage. They get $40 a shift plus tips. On a slow night, tips run around $200. Busy nights, they are clearing $400-$500.

Spending one’s time writing about how these people are spending their time... now that’s fixing the Flint water crisis!

After they do this, let me know how your $15 Bud Light tastes. If you eliminated tips and paid what the state/federal minimum wage was to servers, nearly all of them would be worse off because they’ve just taken a severe pay cut.
