Okay, if the show is trying this hard to make me believe that Lena doesn’t know, I guess I have to believe them. All the same, the events of this episode should have been enough reason for Kara to realize that not telling Lena ASAP is a mistake. How wrong is it to keep making Lena worry about Kara and probably spend

Speaking of, dunno if you noticed this, but one of Bow’s dads is clearly based on Bow from the original series:

Also, credit to the writers for doing an episode where Bow has to “come out of the closet” to his dads, while the dads are treated as completely ordinary. Also, credit for the parallel storytelling where Catra doesn’t tell the truth to Hordak and pays the price.

Trivia: Bow’s father George, the one who fought in the first Princess Rebellion, is clearly visually based on the original series’ Bow character.

I graduated in 1985 so I think I’ve got three years on you. Which means that you started computerin’ at a younger age than I did, and I bet anything you were comfortable with computers before I was (the age of 20 give or take).

Gotta respect the old school skills. I can solder tolerably well, but I’ve never done any big projects, so I can only marvel like an anime girl at those of you who have.

Oh yeah? Well .... um ... I can still beat you at Omega Race!

Don’t take Tylenol, EVER! That stuff is seriously dangerous to your liver; the number one cause of liver failure in the country is Tylenol overdoses. And it doesn’t take much to go from “recommended dose” to “dangerous overdose”.

I’m on Jussie’s side at this point, though as facts emerge, I could switch sides.

I remember a time when I believed liberals / progressives / whatever were the informed, fact-based bunch. But sadly, it turns out they’re every bit as driven by irrationality as the Republicans. Try to tell progressives that you can’t accomplish something because there is some legal or financial or practical obstacle,

“Democratic leaders contend, without a shred of evidence, that impeachment proceedings could backfire and help Trump become president by dividing the nation with a partisan political process, thereby coalescing Trump’s supporters.

Spoiler:

I love that this episode surprised me, and in good ways. The appearance of Kara Danvers during the fight, her going immediately to “Kara Danvers of CatCo” rather than just some random bystander, Otis making a surprisingly insightful point about journalism, Brainy being prompted to think from the gut in a way that I

What evidence, though? As far as I can tell, the only evidence of anything is that Jussie wrote a check to those two guys who say in public statements that they didn’t attack him. (He says he wrote a check to them for personal trainer work, which is plausible.)

I don’t think it’s as simple as wanting to terrorize people of color just to do it. But the very point of prejudice is that it leads one to pre-judge people and situations, and not follow the facts impartially. So all it takes is a cop who is predisposed to think that a real attack on Jussie was faked, and that a
