It will bring you way faster gaming. There are noticeable increases for games like pcars on AMD hardware for example getting 10-20% better performance for whatever reason. And the things that made w8.1 way faster and snappier then w7 are there too of course and souped up some. There is a lot of things going on under

Probably because most/(all?) serious players use fighting sticks, not the gamepads.

“how about, instead of filming in a real spot and adding fake cars, we shoot real cars and add a fake background?”

I guess my point is: they were faced with a problem where the mechanic was just an illusion of choice, and rather than fix the “illusion” part, they largely fixed the “choice” part. But choices are a vital component of any game, and especially an RPG, so by dramatically simplifying, they homogenized everyones’

That’s not actually true though. At least back in BC, you could find a lot more variety in the “competitive” talent specs than with this system. Hunters, for example, had a weird triple-specs weighted on Survival that were great if you needed more CC, and you had leeway to shift about 8ish points around.

The talent system is a great example of something frustrating with Blizzard lately. They have this laser focus on their design goals, but pursue them without regard for the effect they have on the game. For example, the talent system. Is the current system more balanced? Sure. Does it avoid the illusion-of-choice

It’s not the nostalgia. WotLK nailed everything, it was close to perfection.

I left the second they changed the talent tree to the new simplified shitty version. The game has changed too much since the vanilla release, i look at it now and don’t even see the same game as back then.

I’m torn. I love me some snazzy real time demos, especially one involving DX12/console style shader coding. But at the same time, my awareness of the industry as a whole ruins the enchantment. It’s one of those things that reveal how much of a ‘Hollywood’ machine the gaming industry has become.

Watching their eyes it’s not misguided, like at all. There is more than one reason to do so. It prevents you from looking at your target and tell your adversary where you intend to strike, while at the same time looking for his intention and having his shoulders in the same field of view, which helps you immensely in

Then you don’t know what I’m talking about.

I’m not really the hugest fan of this new paradigm of judging an entire film based on a poster, or a still, or a production still. Everything on the Internet is either “BEST EVAR!!!11” or “worst episode ever” and this type of quick reaction with little substance isn’t really doing much to improve discourse.

Damage control mod right now. $.49 cents.

I wonder how many people on the message boards are going to complain about WoW being too easy based on the accomplishments of complete strangers.

You must be fun at parties.

NOTE THE WINKY SMILEY FACE, WHICH DENOTES JOKE

Reminds me somewhat of this one here. ;-)

I’ve seen it argued on another site that 3D animation isn’t REAL animation. By people who are dumb and have no understanding of how animation in any form works.
