From a personal development point of view, it is indeed where we learn the most :)

overtime is rarely paid in private industries, unfortunately.

That’s quite interesting, never thought of that. Maybe they’re receiving some kind of “official” help ? Poland doesn’t have that many AAA studios, and this is the one that they can be really proud of. Or maybe other side businesses ? /tinfoil_time :p

Either you’ve just arrived on the market (as you can’t overwork for too long because evident health / social issues), either you’re not dealing with complicated frameworks, or you simply found a good management. I don’t think you’re a freshman, but a blind “yes” to evergrowing expectations shouldn’t be promoted for tec

CDProjekt comes to mind in those honorable studios that do not rush release announcements, and a perfect example of how it doesn’t hamper sales.

And be proud you should. Crunch is most of the time a lack of knowledge of the whole tech chain from upper management (which is not always their fault, honestly). So, kudos, sir.

I tend to call them mid-fight “Wh-.. are you serious ?”

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids : Evil Dead ?

I hate to be that guy but ...
While I agree that youtube is absolutely no different from other starsystems, I feel that his point can touch (and might have been intended to touch) a more general problem : overexpression.

So you’re rushing urgedly to your destination in the most elegant Faith’s way, and then : bam, the todo list reminds you that you’re not so free yet, there were 30 tricks to do in the previous blocks to be ISO-9001 with perfection. It’s clearly rhythm

I thought randomly generated dungeons was precisely LiquidSnail’s argument against burning out content faster than made ? Could be a good idea though.

Because they’re PC ports, maybe ?

Damn this is gorgeous ... I mean, the gorgeous-ish gorgeousy that photorealism always needed.

I think console mouse & keyboards will never be popular enough for devs to design around it, unfortunately.

Sorry for the serious post, but I’d be interested in some kind of metrics about SFV average playing time from release to now ? (I’m an enthusiast of trends dynamics). Does anyone have that in their sleeve ?

EVE Online proposed appeal is like actually watching an anthill. You stand there in awe, hypnotized by watching thousands of individual entities organizing themselves towards a common goal, wondering where it will lead. And then you walk away after a few minutes.

Oculus & chill ?
