This is the perfectest perfection.
It’s the consequence of trying to make cartoonish characters look more realistic. I’m digging it, though, it’s easy to look past this “clay” impression.
Face is perfectly recognizable : brown eyes, long flashy hair, V shaped eyebrows. Please don’t judge on SF2, but on the whole SF media history (games, animes, films, artworks, etc).
It’s just what Ken was more and more supposed to be, but now in full force :
- nervous
- stylish
- flexible
- straightforward
I agree. Ken really needed to set himself apart more from the endless Shoto-wagon. I love the work they did on both looks and gameplay in this iteration.

A 100% open world, with no direction hint would have implicitly lowered the general pace, I guess. After all, Parkour is a giant glide park, not generated on the fly, but created by pre-calculated safe spots that will easen the flow (waypoints). :)
I was too busy breaking down frame by frame every small new mechanics to see this. Which is imo a good sign :D
