Now put some badass Drum 'n Bass as a soundtrack, and we're set.

(that makes me think ... when Grumpy cat is looking at him in the mirror, does he grumble about himself ?)
In before mandatory outrage about "finding gay love scenes to be funny", heterosexuals either finding it "disgusting" or "strangely appealing", and usual trolls saying this is not game related news.
I'm amused at how people are trying to rationalize a design that was made out of a shot of whisky and a 3 inches long joint.
What such ads will cause will only be the opposite effect : slow rejection of said family value. Rule number 1 with love : don't force it. Ever.

Assuming a worldwide hit is not something everybody has the strength for, especially when it's for a modest game made by a single dev. I find it already quite tricky to properly manage a 100 people userbase for a fighting game, so I can't even imagine how it would be with a worldwide hit :s
I'll always be amazed by the quality of the Transformers (movies) animations. We can feel the amplitude of their movements, the weight they have to manage in their balance, all while delivering huge strikes with all of it. It's art, whatever defaults there can be beyond visuals.
The idea of combining some sort of Minecraft with your own MMO main character is quite brilliant actually. Not groundbreaking, but it had to be one of the mmo logical steps. The whole EQNext + Landmark combination looks very, very promising.
I think we have to refocus on the words "target audience". People will watch Transformers for the massive robots delivering 10 ton punches. Others have watched Matrix for the cyberpunk hero. And others will watch Need for Speed for the roaming of badass engines.
At first I was about to write « This is priceless. »
Then the vid ran a bit, tone started to get moralizing, and borderly disrespectful.
Seconded. Leo is quite awesome.
This. They're so far unbeatable.
With such an investment scale, I'm surprised there haven't been real life threats yet.
I read it all, and thanks for the link as I always searched the inspiration to start EVE for real, and really like what was written here. But in the end, I could only admit to myself : « Farming, positionning, leading, teaming, tanking, healing, making battle choices .. this is just WoW at a much, much slower pace. »
