Most next gen visuals could be done on current gen, as we've reached a significant success in "baking" very complex effects into textures.
As long as publishers will want to make their games run on both current gen and next gen, such comparisons will not be relevant to what next gen is truly capable of.

Battlefield textures are mostly all baked. So such comparisons can't really give a realistic estimation until you'll have a fully realtime lighted scenery.
