Dear Santa,
Dear Santa,
This is torture. Every new video showcasing the OR is like a knife slowly slipping through my geeky heart. And all my nerdy friends are feeling the same. Please, I want it so bad, make that public version go retail asap :'(
After spending so much time bodybuilding to be attractive, let's try to explain the reactions of these guys in a polite, well-thought, rational manner : #butthurt.
Small update to my first post : I'm not english native, so I didn't really understand the meaning of "preachy" at first. Got the correct translation since then, and I'm not sure the game tries to be preachy. It tries to move people with a shock I think. Anyway I understand what you wanted to mean besides that word.…
You mean that it's ... the wind of change ? :D
Actually, that could breed an interesting gamedesign. Like a companion Isaura meets, who explains secretly what his dancing moves are made for (could be great opportunity to introduce Capoeira's history to gamers), and then at a given moment, the NPC turns from a companion to a playable character who uses capoeira to…
It would have fit an RPG very well, indeed. I remember there was a text / still pictures based game themed around slavery on Amiga & Atari ST, back in the 80's. Don't remember the name, but the pictures and dialogs did make an impression to me, even if I was a child.
I have to agree. There is potential indeed, but as of presented in the video, slavery and racial labelling seem like an added layer on top of a gameplay formula that may feel too simple in comparison. I mean, pragmatically, who would be looking forward to purposedly drop a baby on the ground thousands of time in order…
seconded :)
Totally ! Being a gamedev, their demo really sold me the product :) I'm glad some work is more and more put in intuitive controls. It has been the 3D/gamedesign tools weakness for ages ...
This thread is golden.
It has gone so complex ... but yet so apparently simple to use ... Do they have some kind of internal psychological care for their technical managers ? So they don't go batshit crazy after 3 monthes of work ?
Damn, that was Terry Bogard :/
Both are respectable, imo. They both try to be professional, have far less history of consumer screwups than many other entertainment corporations, and have both been sources of projects that changed our life in a positive way. For that reason alone, they should shake hands, wish great success to each other, and go…
"Are you hockey ?"
Free To Play is a pure marketing stunt to attract the audience that made all this shit happen : the people who don't want to pay. In the end, they're spending more money than with classical full priced games. How cynical :/
Seeing how they managed to enable such details into voxels is outstanding. The game looks promising for sure, and this dynamic terrain could be one of the most influencial features in mmos to come.
Our society is way more advanced than we are, biologically wise.
S-Kill ... haha nice tribute to Seth Killian :p
