I'm not sure to understand the logic between a visual expression and the interest of a game. Blood happens in a fight. That's life. If you don't like blood, just don't fight, and use non-bloody weapons like sniper rifle.

Final Fantasy may have a lot of episodes, but each episode is completely different from the other, in a different world with different characters. Actually that's the opposite of franchise milking. And Square did even make that principle a motto for each FF iteration.
