I share your vision :) For MVC3, it could be explained by the flashy fancy stuff, amateurs who are not specially experts in the genre will see more of that, rather than real technical details.

If it can reassure you, the devs here are playing it VERY rough and "unprofessional". I watched it all, and never will I take this path of completing my mission. He kills nearly everyone, and uses the most obvious "tools". There's really no spoiler in this vid, except the targets locations.
