Her restrained fury at Thatcher talking over her was acting at its finest.

She strongly suggests to Martin that it be leaked. Michael Shea then says he wants to note his objection to Martin. Historically, Shea was accused of leaking it, but whether or not it was at the Queen’s request is open fo debate.

It really isn’t though… Pinochet is white.

I love a good multi-Doctor episode.

Boris Johnson.

I think Colman Elizabeth has been deprived at times of an inner life that Foy’s Elizabeth had much more of. I don’t think it’s a lack of acting choices. It’s the writing. When she’s given the material Olivia Colman is giving a chef’s kiss of a performance. But too often she’s being given less to do than others around

imagine having 11 1/2 years of Trump, not 4...

Oh I know.  Its just that quote about Mandela has always stuck with me.  When he did get released, old Maggie was one of the few loudly going I don't see why people are happy.

When I excitedly sat down to start S4 I sat through 20 minutes of the longest flashback ever, full of scenes I already watched, before realizing Netflix had cued me up to S2Ep1

Despite the heavy-handedness of it, this is one of my favorite episodes of The Crown.

I think the scene where she complains about how embarrassing and disgusting it is for the Queen to meet with countries with “horrible human rights records” (pointedly naming several independent African nations) while she adamantly refuses to impose sanctions on apartheid South Africa made that point quite clearly.

honk if Thatcher’s deid

I was momentarily baffled when Foy showed up in the opening scene, wondering if Netflix had glitched and queued up a season 1 episode.

They brought that up in the episode,

Another requisite dive into Google reveals that a big reason Thatcher did not want sanctions placed on South Africa is because her son (who we already know she held in too high, undeserved, esteem) had a great deal of business there and didn’t want him to fail, hence the 48:1 members of the 49 members in favor of

Im surprised they didn't bring up Thatchers infamous opinion of Nelson Mandela.  That he was just a terrorist and deserved to rot in prison.  Old Maggie was quite the raging racist, and she wasn't particularly subtle about it.  Anyone who dares question her is wrong, that's how she saw it.

Man, the finale of Ted Lasso was weird!

This is the ‘harassment’ she deserves.

Being asked to follow the law is not harassment.
