I honestly didn't care for it all that much, but it's certainly one of a kind. And it was crazily before its time in terms of modern fiction. I think it's worth revisiting just to read it on its own merits.

Geek Love is an incredible book. I read that when I was much younger and I remember recommending it to a friend of my mothers who read it and told my mom "Your daughter is awesome. A little weird, but awesome." It remains a book I recommend often.

Geek Love needs to be an HBO miniseries directed by Guillermo del Toro.

This was one of those books that I read at way too young (12 maybe?) and therefore will never ever forget. This book had everything: Self-mutilating cult members! Telekinetic artificial insemination! Siamese Twin lobotomies!

R.I.P. Meep. The mere mention of the teeny, be-feathered little guy makes me wanna cry. I'd wager that was one of the most disturbing, heartbreaking scenes in AHS' history. I had to turn away for a moment - it just felt too real.

This is one of my favorite books, if not my most favorite. When I found out AHS was doing a freak show theme I immediately thought of this book - I'm so glad someone made the comparison!

Oh man. I hadn't thought about Geek Love in a while (perhaps thankfully). Remember Arty's cult where his followers were cutting off body parts, like in reverence?

GREAT BOOK. I read this when I was 12- it made a huge impression on me.

Geek Love was great! It had that outlandish plot but never got overly gimmicky; it was touching and funny and her brother was SUCH a dick.
