The data that I’ve seen shows Dems are very likely to take the House, but Reps are likely to keep the Senate. I’m basing this primarily, but not exclusively, on 538, which compiles tons of different polls and uses various other data, not on any Republican demoralization tactics. I wish I could be as confident as you!

I’m glad you said this! For some reason, the 2018 Forbes article says that her endorsements only make up about half of her income, and that didn’t make sense to me. I thought she was paid the same (or nearly the same) amount as Bowen for Modern Family. 

They do! The Forbes article states that about half of Vergara’s money is from endorsements, while only 5% of Cuoco’s is.

Ellen Pompeo’s is a combination of “regular” salary, money on the back end, and a producer fee for the Grey’s spinoff.

I genuinely love Barbie, too! I can definitely see why people have issues with her, but, when Barbie dolls first existed, they actually changed the way girls play with dolls. Barbie was the first doll for kids that wasn’t a baby doll. She gave girls the chance to play in a different way.

She was the highlight of the movie for me. I normally enjoy Anna Kendrick, but I thought she fell flat. I feel like Blake Lively really nailed the dark humor in a way that Kendrick didn’t. (Which seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I’m sticking with it.)

I think there are two other possibilities: Phil’s dad, Cam and Mitch’s friend Pepper, but, you’re right in that it will definitely be a recurring character, not one of the main characters.

I don’t even think it’s that Smith helped Meyer - it’s Smith’s connection to Earle Bruce. Bruce is Smith’s grandfather and Meyer’s longtime mentor. It’s a true example of the old boys’s club at work. I honestly believe that, had this been a different assistant coach, Meyer may have taken action. 

Had he told Gene Smith he would have been in the clear - seriously, one e-mail, phone call or meeting with his boss and he wouldn’t be facing administrative leave and possible termination. He wouldn’t have even had to make the decision to fire Zach Smith.

All he had to do was *tell* Gene Smith (the AD). Seriously, that’s it. Had he told Gene Smith, he would be taking a lot less heat right now. If he knew and didn’t tell Smith, he should absolutely be let go. He can’t “help the kids” effectively if he harbors a serial abuser. 

I think it’s possible, but it’s definitely not the most likely outcome. For every Penny Pritzer, Joe Kennedy III, and Mark Dayton, there are probably 50 people who grew up with large amounts of wealth and are just objectively bad people.

They are sold at some Giant Eagle (a regional grocery store) stores in Ohio! (And I’m guessing the other states with Giant Eagles, as well - PA, WV, MD, and IN.)

I’m not 100% sold on required voting, but we can do so much better than we’re doing now.

Every state should have same-day voter registration.
