Fuck, I'd love a Tom Waits biopic. Not about his actual life, but the life that his character lived. How has Jim Jarmusch not made this?

That man is never going to be post-twink.
I am terrible at figuring out what’s appropriate for children as I have no idea what rate they develop at. That said, I reckon she’d be okay. There are a couple of scenes with a spell that turns people undead that are mildly creepy, but not graphic. I think maybe the word “shit” is used once. Other than that I’d say…
Saw ‘D&D’ this weekend with some friends and had a blast. I wouldn’t say every joke was the best written thing, but there’s so much charisma oozing out of this cast (Pine and Rodriguez in particular have great, non-romantic chemistry) that they can sell each moment. That said, the “Xerk walking in a straight line”…
Anyone else not remember lore from this game? I thought it was interesting that this article was framed around a character and some lore, as if that’s the exciting piece of news, or what will bring people back.
Westeros
So much of prestige TV has trained me to suspect the worst, so when Frank was invited in I kept thinking how is this stranger going to destroy Bill’s life?
Bartlett was quoted in an EW interview that was posted after the episode aired that it was (I’m paraphrasing a bit) like having this big, sprawling, incredible horror/sci-fi story and then just dropping a beautiful Sundance film in the middle of it. Highly accurate.
I legit cried for almost the whole 10 minute sequence on the last day. Murray Bartlett was great, but Nick Offerman’s acting just wrecked me. And totally didn’t expect Bill to die too, since he was still alive in the game. It was such a beautiful story. Could have easily worked as a standalone short film.
I got off social media last year. I’ve decided my child will not use it as long as she lives with me. She may try, she may succeed, but I'd rather fight this fight than succumb and let her be thrown into a cesspool of low self esteem, stress, and inappropriate content.
Ngl I'd watch David Fincher's NME in a heartbeat
I had the same reaction. More quality writing from the AV Club...
I know it’s nitpicky, but it’s 2.35:1 (or anamorphic) aspect ratio. And it is the best aspect ratio.
Seems he’ll be going to prison precisely because he has a hard time letting teenagers go.
I would say that there is some poetic justice in this scenario. Thank you Greta, you got that miserable POS to out himself. Delicious!
Imagine being SO INSECURE that you blow up your whole criminal enterprise because you can’t let a comment from a teenager go?
He is a truly terrible human being. That’s it. No more thought pieces, no more “yeah but he was close with his mom when she died”, or “you don’t understand mental illness”. He is an entitled, self absorbed piece of shit.
Idk, ever since Ex Machina I basically see anything Isaac stars in. There was a whole legion of people who convinced themselves that Moon Knight was good (It was not good!) that would argue with you.
I loved Elden Ring. It is an objective masterpiece and not only the greatest video game I’ve ever played, but also a legitimately transformative experience of art and play. Never once did PvP. No interest. Although I did watch a lot of PvP videos because I think it’s fascinating the skill level some people have and…
With the caveat that I’m not a pro and this is some second-rate analysis...
