Don’t quote me, but I thought it was implied that he might have been involved with the Vince McMahon/Janel Grant sex trafficking scandal. Am I way off base?

Very excited for this album! I’ve loved her stuff ever since her album with David Byrne, Love This Giant. It’s amazing!
I tried getting into New Vegas, for the second time now, just the other day, and it just didn’t hold my attention. Played for an hour and quit. The graphics don’t hold up imo, and is it just me or is there no run button? I played FO3&4 for probably hundreds of hours between the two, plus the DLCs, and I kept hearing…
Maybe next season will have weekly drops. I’ve read a lot of chatter about how this deserved HBO-levels of prestige, including not dumping it all at once. Give viewers a chance to absorb what they just watched, and some time to talk about it with each other before the next episode!
I wanted to love Rings of Power so badly. But it just felt too clean, too staged, and too unfocused with too many story lines, to really immerse me in the world. Meanwhile Fallout has absolutely blown me away with all the details and Easter eggs, the grit, the layering of trash and decay. Three to four main story…
The boobs and legs look great, though. I didn’t think to look any further than that.
No motivation?? An old man, whose wife dies, has nothing left to live for, gets an opportunity to become young again and go on space adventures to kill aliens??? How’s that for an elevator pitch?
I wouldn’t call them unfilmable, but John Scalzi’s novels are begging for adaptations! The Old Man’s War series, and Lock In are wonderful worlds to explore, and Android’s Dream would be absolutely hilarious.
I know we’re mostly talking about TV uses here, but The Creator also used Everything in its Right Place to great effect.
Sorry, Radio Head was not on Stop Making Sense, otherwise I would’ve gotten into Radiohead sooner, because I wore out my copy of Stop Making Sense as a kid, and I never realized the reference until years later, as True Stories was one of their only albums I didn’t own. (And to this day I have no idea why they cut…
Yeah I’m no good at the internet, otherwise I’d post a side-by-side.
I always confuse Dastmalchian with Patrick Fischler. I could’ve sworn it was him in the Mulholland Drive scene at the diner with the dumpster monster.
Why is there more movie news showing up on Gizmodo than there is on AV Club??
Don’t forget some of Schrader’s more obscure credits, like Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, and The Last Temptation of Christ.
I noticed that there are already multiple Balatro knockoffs in the Apple Store, before the real Balatro has even been released. I hope that doesn’t become a problem.
Outer Range was great imo, and the second half of the season gets a bit wacky, especially with the rival family. I highly recommend finishing it, especially as the second season will be coming soon. Although I read that the second season will be taking a new direction, not sure exactly what that means, but I’m curious…
OK I’ll bump them up the list!
Same, although I’d say I’m in for anything with Natalie Portman vs. JLL. She’d have been great in Ex Machina, not to take anything away from Alicia Vikander’s performance. Stellar movie!
He got dinged for Men, but I’ll defend it to my grave.
He wrote The Beach, and the screenplays for 28 Days Later and Sunshine, which were all directed by Danny Boyle. Annihilation was a really neat and difficult adaptation of a novel widely regarded to be unadaptable. And Men, well, certainly isn’t for everyone, but I think it’s a very brave project with some imagery and…
