I appreciate that country can be so many things, but what’s baffling to me is how vehemently I hate all of it. Except for Willie Nelson and some bluegrass.

Weird cuz I was just thinking about how the gunplay and weapon variety was blowing my mind. I don’t want to part with any of them! And the Maliwan with 2 elementals to choose from? Love it!
No, I kid. Hiding my guilty pleasure from my current wife was not a wise choice. I only wish I had a girl who approved or even participated in my gaming habits.
Current GF huh? Not too optimistic about this one?
Thanks for the advice shitbag, way to be helpful.
Mine is 8, and she used to be quite reactive to many shows and movies. She’d have nightmares about My Little Pony when she was younger, and we started to drastically reduce her screen time. But especially Disney stuff like Coco, the heavy stuff with parents dying, and she was even scared of the water in Moana. So I…
chesskid has a website and an app with tutorials, puzzles and the ability to play others. I was using it to teach and play with my daughter until she decided she didn’t like chess at all. Bummer, but it wasn’t chesskid’s fault, it’s a great app.
I’ll have to give that a try when I’m motivated to go back. Thanks for the advice. I’ve watched a ton of vids on how to cheese, how to do it right, and I’d still get crushed, which is even more discouraging.
Blood Meridian!!!
I felt this way about Sekiro when I came up against O’rin. She kicked my ass so fast, and to beat her you need divine confetti, that has to be farmed elsewhere, and to get that, it helps to farm those mibu posession balloons, which increase the drop rate for divine confetti. So like 20-30 minutes to farm up enough…
Yeah this could backfire just as easily in the States, if someone who would’ve tried to seek help didn’t specifically because they knew they’d be put on a list. Then we’d have even more fragile people not getting the help they deserve.
And don’t forget that time Depp wrote, directed and starred in The Brave (1997), about an impoverished Native American who takes a large sum of money to star in a snuff film in order to provide for his family. Uplifting stuff!
By giving this comment more stars than theirs?
Just watched the movie with my 8-year old daughter and she did well. Then watched the first episode yesterday and while some scenes were heavy and dark, she seemed ok after, but she had a lot of great questions, which thrilled me since it meant she was paying attention.
I rewatched the original with my daughter mainly to determine if she could handle the creepy dark tone of it all, which she did, which made me thrilled. The podling scene with the Skeksis was a bit heavy for her but she handled it well. And the first episode didn’t shy away from some heavy scenes, setting the tone for…
Don’t forget the other option, that he’s not dead at all, and paid to have a body double take his place, and is now living abroad with the help of all his rich pedo friends, and will be back at his pedo ways in no time.
Well hot damn, it’s on Game Pass for $2. Got that first and downloaded a bunch of other stuff, gonna be busy for the next month. Hopefully I can finish everything I want to before I need to cancel.
Yeah it didn’t help that I’d try to crouch behind a crate during a gunfight only to climb on top of it and start pirouetting around like ‘shoot me, shoot me!’
Buying this game tonight goddammit! I didn’t even read past the spoiler warning. I’ve been circling around this game for over a month, I don’t know why I’ve been holding out.
There seems to be a fine line between immersion in games and sheer boredom. The time it takes to brush your horse, or clean your gun? It’s just too much, and the beauty and attention to detail of some of those set pieces just don’t make up for the monotony of the grind.
