I never said that AWD cars aren't better, just unnecessary for most of the population... If it's in stop and go traffic, then the acceleration is even less needed :/ you're not really expecting to go 60 mph on a heavily iced highway are you? And if it's cleared and salted, you'll be mostly on water/asphalt and still

Except they're not other than when forward grip and acceleration is concerned...

FWD cars are completely fine as winter cars unless you got steep hills... Only thing is that it'll accelerate slower than even AWD cars on all season tires (but then again, you shouldn't be/need to be accelerating that quickly anyways on a icy road)

Unless you get literally dumped on by snow like Buffalo is right now, (then nothing will help unless you got like a Imperial AT-AT walker.) or you got hills that's like 20% grade that's completely iced over... a FWD car with snow tires will be fine...

I doubt it'll hit 50k though unless it's like a limited production varient...

Nope. The Golf R is basically a cheap S3. I bet they'll price the Golf R400 if it comes to the U.S. at around 46-50k at the most since they usually step up the price by 10-15k every higher model you go... And then it'll be the bargain of the decade in terms of stock performance in a practical hatch lol.

TTRS starts at almost 60k lol...

But... you can get close to 400 HP on a Golf R with just a stage 1 tune...

Move over puny humans vehicles. It's cute that you think 5 feet of snow is too high.

You can thank european emission standards amongst other things for all the smaller engined more expensive cars you guys have to deal with lol.

Do you mean the gimped ones here or the good ones in europe ._.

I feel like if you buy it from ANY reputable shop/website/etc, you're not going to have problems...

I feel like the huge ass turbo charger they shoved onto it would explain the headgaskets blowing up.

I still maintain that everyone should want "The Hammer" just because of the name.

Oh come on. I was on a college spring break trip SOLO down the east coast from North Carolina down to Key west (twice) and I just park in the most public places...

Holy shit.... 10.5 inch wheels in the front??? fuck.....

If I remember right...

I got the best buy Gamer reward zone thing for $30 for 2 years since I was a old gamerzone member or something... (The one that's suppose to cost 60 a year) I only pre-order games when there's like a $10 extra gift cert or something out of it... So technically I get the games for $42 instead of $66... well worth

And here I am taking the god damn bus/subway to see broadway shows.

Well, the engine is probably gonna be way more than the transmission... unless you find some way to adapt another engine to the transmission... And even then, you still need to create/adapt a electronics system to start and control the engine and etc...
