I was reading this the other day about how Asian Americans helped defeat the efforts to repeal Prop 209 (banning affirmative action in California). According to the article, Asian-Americans are 14% of high school grads in CA but 42% of freshmen in the UC system. It seems like they could stand to give up a few spots?
