Thanks for the clarifications. (Yeah, I was just talking about the streaming side of things, not the company as a whole.)

If they’re doing so well, why are they thinking about adding commercials? One of the reasons people stayed with the service and their higher rates is we get shows with no commercials. They’re losing subscribers and the only way to justify lower rates is to get ad revenue.
I’ll allow that.
Some of the renders look weird and terrible. Especially when its animated, still images look like a smoothness filter has been added to everyone.
The tools are useful and are only going to get better.
“First of all, I’m not your friend”
It looks like the same insta and fb filters people have been using to smooth over their facial scars and blemishes for years now, As to people being mad about the ai being trained on other people’s art, that’s a deep philosophical question, aren’t we all trained/influenced by the art we see (especially in an academic…
I’m just hopeful about the future. I hope these kinds of tools can someday give wings to small developers; and help streamline the AAA process for large ones so they can have more teams and take risks on new IP and experiences.
I am not a fan of all that AI stuff, not at all. I even actively advocate human artistry.
I don’t know how my experience would compare to others, but I saw non-stop phantom liberty ads for a good two weeks, on hulu, peacock and youtube ads (I’ve got adblocker on my main pc, but I haven’t gotten around to setting it up on my router for the whole house, so I still have youtube ads on phone/switch/ps5). So…
Without seeing her actual posts and the context she was using that language in, it’s impossible to tell if she was racist, or merely a clueless dumbshit.

First of all, I’m not your friend. Nor am I seeking that friendship.
I’m glad that after 3 years and $120 million dollars they were finally able to make Cyberpunk 2077 a playable video game, I guess. A shame that despite that enormous budget, it still has absolutely nothing new, interesting, or insightful to say about it’s own setting beyond aping the most well-worn settings, stock…
Cyberpunk was originally 316m, RedDead was anywhere from 370m to 540m. Not sure where you’re getting your numbers and say RDR2 cost less of all things.
If you bothered to watch their making of videos for their anime series, you would know that they still had to hire dozens of artists and other people to make it happen. Are you even really a journalist if you don’t research the things you’re talking about? Can you manage even a thimble full of effort? I see a lot of…
Yeah the issue with this is the AI generation doesnt have a skeletal structure so its no idea how to handle facial movement and is just redrawing each frame as a 2d image losing the game charachters facial expression changes.
I’m entirely judging these books by their covers, but they look exactly like the kind of women who are racist but get bent out of shape when you point it out to them (“how dare you, I’m the least racist person you’ll ever meet!”). They also look like “mean girls, now in Lesbian variety!”
The fact that she didn’t know enough to take it down until she got caught tells me that on some level she still thinks it’s ok or not a bad thing.
“This was obviously before [Gaetz] got married.” Obvious to who?
