The thing about something being plausible is that it’s really not enough to go on.

Past-tense of cast is just “cast.” No “ed.”
I don’t doubt this, but certain behavior existing isn’t proof that every person above them in the hierarchy are the same
That’s Bob Iger for ya.
I’ve always showed up twenty minutes after the advertised showtime to skip the trailers - something reserved seating has made even easier. I didn’t even realize theaters have started showing commercials after the showtime.
The Netflix model was not good for studios. It killed the DVD, Blu-Ray, and cable market. That’s what this article is explaining.
Did you pay to see The Curse or was it free? I ask because an independent movie theater in my city used to (maybe still does, I dunno’) play some network TV shows at their airing time, but it was free (probably because they showed the commercials and everything). It seems great for the theater if they can get people…
I’ve been saying this for years.
Whoooa, Ignatiy!
Yeah. Boring actor tracks were a huge bummer for me, because I watched them be entertaining and charming on screen. Plus they were there. They should know better than anyone how something was really done! And instead, a lot of actors aren’t “on” for the commentary and/or completely forget the day they shot a cool…
Same. In theory it’s nice to be able to see the commentator react to something as it’s happening in the film at the same time you’re watching it. In practice, it didn’t make a difference a lot of the time.
You’re giving them too much credit.
They’re not really competitors. WBD owns Cinemax.
Mia Goth was never a really good actor to begin with and has really fallen off since her debut.
I feel like these are obvious Ace Attorney style contradictions.
Absolutely, but DVD commentaries were never the only place to hear what went on behind the scenes.
The Futurama commentaries are pretty good too. IMO it has everything to do with the fact that the voice actors and writers are genuinely funny and want to entertain whoever is listening. Like I said, there are good commentaries, but no one remembers how many meh commentaries there really are.
I can’t say that I really miss DVD commentaries. Don’t get me wrong, I too pored over DVD special features in my youth, but I’ve sat through enough commentaries to know that a lot of them are pretty forgettable and uninformative. Long stretches where they’re just watching the movie. Arnie just describing what’s…
His job was to lie on the floor, he complains about how she stepped near him
For one thing who doesn’t lock the door in a portable bathroom?
