Because that’s the easy solution (companies throwing money at the problem) and I was asking what the difficult solution would be. I also don’t know that that’s the best solution, easy or otherwise.

I’ve long believed that words unaccompanied by action are cheap, and in this case, while it would be appropriate for Holland to say something if he wanted to, I don’t know what else he could do that would have any impact whatsoever. I know others feel differently, but based on his actions and comments in the past, I

What do you think causes racist reactions to a person getting a job?

I wasn’t interpreting anything; I was clarifying what the hard solution I asked was for. It’s clear from your replies and other comments that you defined the problem a lot more broadly than I initially did.

I didn’t think kennyabjr was asking for A Solution to Racism, just one for actors receiving racist reactions to getting a job. I think lots of people are doing the things that you suggest and are frustrated or depressed that racism feels like it’s just getting worse - and not just in the United States. Nor did I mean

Take your time.

Along those lines, I really wish backlashes like this were quantified somehow. There’s no sense of scale. Is there really a sizable group of users abusing this actress, or are blogs amplifying a handful of shitposters? Online abuse is never okay, but if trolls see that bloggers will search for racist reactions to

They’re quoting the subheading:

I feel like half the time they insist the celebrity say “anything,” and then after the celebrity has said something, they complain that what they said wasn’t “enough.”

What’s the hard solution?

Why? Is anyone under the impression that Tom Holland supports racists?

I’d play a Game of Thrones-set video game that focused on what Arya gets up to after the show.

I didn’t watch Game of Thrones when it aired, but in the final few seasons I kept hearing people talk about Jon Snow this and Jon Snow that in a way that suggested to me that he was the Main Character. So when I first saw the headlines about a Jon Snow-focused spinoff, I was a little confused because I thought the

Hey, don’t kink shame Disappointed Horse

Yes. I’ve shamefully also had the same thought run through my mind. Jerry Seinfeld has a remarkable way to deliver mean observations in a way that sounds more like he’s genuinely confused than malicious that I’ve always admired.

It was by no means a return to the highs of the early seasons, but I thought Season 12 was consistently funnier and had bigger laughs than the last two or three seasons (which also suffered from Larry repeating jokes and revisiting ideas). And for that reason alone, I appreciate LD for bringing the show back to go out

I actually did, once!

This guy’s been playing Freddie Funkhauser, guys in the grays.

Jerry Seinfeld showing up was something I had no idea I wanted. He brought a bolt of energy to the finale, and his interactions with Larry were hilarious.

We absolutely did, in The Flash.
