IMO “talented artists can use AI-based tools and nobody really minds” isn’t being left on the table, but I certainly hope that’s how everything shakes out.

You just described someone’s dream job right there. I’m not sure what’s hollow about that.
Oof. Those “this could have been a dream job for an artist”-type of tweets ring really hollow to me, since generally (albeit not always) an art department will hire all the graphic artists they need for a movie, and then those artists will create all of the art for the movie. And it’s probably one of the human graphic…

None of the jokes in the trailer are “particularly funny,” but to Death’s point, the trailer has plenty of humor (which isn’t inherently the same as jokes). Even if someone watching this trailer for the first time didn’t know any of the cast members, between the humor, the upbeat music cues, and a few goofy sound…
Oh yeah. Well, IDK, I bought into that once I accepted Dr. Manhattan.
In terms of things *in* Watchmen, aside from an accident turning a man into the most powerful being on the planet, what BS is there?
If they can hold off on that kind of shit until the end, ehhhh what’s the harm?
One of the Gray Jedi could even wield lightning, not to torture or kill, but like a Force taser, to stun people.
I guess that answers the question of, “Would the AV Club interview a rapist?”
Now they tell him!
I just assumed residuals were always a thing.
It wasn’t stubbornness on the writers’ part. Tom Welling apparently had a pretty ironclad contract that forbade him from wearing the Superman suit, a fact that he had to repeatedly remind the writers who supposedly kept coming up with flash-forward and costume party scenes that would have shown him clearly on-camera…
Twitch is for more than just games.
I’d rather let them think liberals hate them if it means we get more of them.
I felt seen watching this episode. Those text chains are truly terrible.
But that’s why I brought up Grand Theft Auto. All of the games since GTA III have been set in fictionalized versions of American cities. They skewer both liberal and conservative politicians and media, and it works for the most part.
I’m assuming the real answer is A24 - either they wanted it set in the States to sell tickets
