IMO “talented artists can use AI-based tools and nobody really minds” isn’t being left on the table, but I certainly hope that’s how everything shakes out.

Those “this could have been a dream job for an artist”-type of tweets ring really hollow to me, since generally (albeit not always) an art department will hire all the graphic artists they need for a movie, and then those artists will create all of the art for the movie. None of the jokes in the trailer are “particularly funny,” but to Death’s point, the trailer has plenty of humor (which isn’t inherently the same as jokes). But that’s why I brought up Grand Theft Auto. All of the games since GTA III have been set in fictionalized versions of American cities. They skewer both liberal and conservative politicians and media, and it works for the most part.
